Reconomy Group continues festive support to ‘4 Steps’ charity

Having become a Group-wide festive tradition in recent years, in 2022, Reconomy and the wider Reconomy Group has once again supported 4 Steps to a Smile – the West Midlands-based charity responsible for delivering Christmas presents to vulnerable children across the region.

However, this year, we had to do things slightly differently, as due to ill health, the founder of 4 Steps to a Smile had to take a step back. As a result, we directly contacted the charities responsible for delivering presents to children in care – these being Sandwell Children’s Trust and Sandwell Parents for Disabled Children.

As in previous years, ‘4 Steps’ captured the imaginations of our staff members. A total of 371 presents were purchased for children living in care, including many bought by our wonderfully generous colleagues out of their own pockets.

4 Steps To A Smile aims to change tears of sadness into tears of joy for children and women of the Midlands. The charity works closely with children’s care homes, hospices, women’s refuges, and hospitals to identify vulnerable children that risk having nothing to open on Christmas morning. Reconomy has supported the charity every Christmas since 2018.

4 Steps continues to touch the hearts of our employees and really captures the true meaning of Christmas for us all. It is a wonderful charity to have been a part of for the last 5 years and continues to grow each year. I’m very proud of everyone that has contributed.

Once again our fabulous employees have gone above and beyond to make our 4 Steps to a Smile donation truly magical. This has become an amazing Christmas tradition that continues to grow and grow every year right across Reconomy Group.
